JOINT CPD - CNW TRAININGS:
(NOTE: MEMBER ROSTER SIGN-UP AVAILABLE FROM 6:40 PM; TRAINING STARTS PROMPTLY AT 7:00 PM, & RUNS TO 8:00 PM)
*********************
NOTE: We receive requests for training which 'fall' generally into two types of sessions. The most frequent are from individuals who want to organize members who reside on a particular street or adjacent street. We call these sessions "Block Group Specific (BGS)" and do not necessarily advertise them to a wider area, since many times the session is held in a private home.
The second type are sessions where we are training residents of a wide area, such as a subdivision, and therefore the organizers try to advertise throughout the area. We call these sessions "Area Wide (AW)". City residents from outside of the area who wish to attend are welcome, since these sessions are normally held in a building open to public such as a church, school, etc.
In addition, CNW does jointly participate with the CPD in four 'trainings' per year. These sessions are open to any city resident. If you would like to attend one of these ‘joint training’ sessions, please note that we now require “pre-registration” at our registration website. We must do this to make sure we have a minimum number of trainees in order to justify the cost and time allocation of on-duty police personnel to this training session. Be assured that if we are forced to cancel the session, we will notify those who have pre-registered with us by e-mail, and work with you to get your attendance at a subsequent session.
